DSSCs are regarded as a regenerative low-cost alternative to traditional photovoltaic devices based on the p-n junction diode. A conversion efficiency of 11% was achieved by using nanocrystalline TiO2 particle based-film. Recently, several research groups have interested with carbon nanotubes in DSSCs. Especially, multi-wall carbon nanotubes are in the form of a sheet rolled into a cylinder-like structure as well as conductive. In this study, we suggest a novel photoelectrode based on TiO2-coated MWNTs. The morphology of the films is like cylinder-networking and macroporous. Consequently, the films might provide an efficient path for electron transport and a possibility for quasi-solid-state electrolytes. |
