Poly(3-alkylthiophene)s (P3ATs) are regarded as one of the most promising materials, due to their remarkable electrical and optical properties, easy processibility. Poly(3-hexylthiophene)s represent a class of conjugated polymers that is widely used for organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) and thin film solar cells. The optical, structural, and electrical properties of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) samples with different molecular parameters have been reported by many groups; such as regioregularity, side chain length, and polymer molecular weight. In this study, we report on the self assembly of P3HT nanowire using marginal solvent, and the morphology and electrical properties are study as a function of the P3HT molecular weight distribution. As the fractionated P3HT mother sample, the higher performance was achieved. The nanowires constitute the fundamental structures in crystalline P3HT films depending on the P3HT molecular weight distribution. |
