In this study, we investigated the phase behavior of polystyrene-graft-polyisoprene(PS-g-PI) in thin film that the same polyisoprene branches grafted at the polystyrene backbone by equal spaces. PS-g-PI block copolymer was synthesized by anionic polymerization. Number of branches varies from 2 to 5. With increase of branch numbers, one segment of polyisoprene branch and one segment of polystyrene backbone attached to the previous generation of comb-shaped block copolymer. Firstly, the phase behavior difference between linear PS-b-PI and comb-shaped PS-g-PI was studied. Secondly, the morphological behavior with different number of branches was estimated. Their thermal phase behavior of PS-g-PI in thin film was observed by transmission electron microscopy and grazing incidence small angle X-ray scattering. |
