Micropatterning of Cells on Poly(dimethylsiloxane) Surface by Electron Irradiation |
초록 |
A facile technique for cell patterning was described on the basis of electron irradiation of poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). A PDMS film was irradiated with an electron beam through a metal mask with micrometer-sized grids. The irradiated PDMS surface was changed into a hydrophilic one, while the remaining non-irradiated regions kept their intrinsic hydrophobicity. As a result, cells such as NIH3T3 and L929 selectively adhered to and proliferated on the irradiated regions, while cells hardly adhered to the non-irradiated regions, resulting in micropatterned cells on the surface. |
