Diketopyrrolopyrrole DPP-based Conjugated Polymers bearing Ester Side- chains and its Application to Organic Photovoltaic Cell |
초록 |
The organic solar cell structure is an effective device to exhibit high light harvesting property in solar spectrum and to show high efficiency of the photonic energy to electrical energy. In the recent literatures, they have been suggested that the side chains in conjugated polymer play a critical role in molecular packing and strongly impact the charge transport properties of conjugated polymers. In diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)-based conjugated polymers, changing side chain from alkyl group to ester group increase affinity with PCBM’s in bulk heterojunction device. This study clearly proves that the subtle balance between hydrophobicity and hydrophilicity induced by proper selection of side-chains is a outstanding strategy to alter the molecular packing and improve the ambipolar charge transport properties. By replacing branched alkyl chains on the DPP unit with ester groups, the structural order and carrier mobility of the modified polymers are enhanced accordingly. |
