제목 Enhanced Production of 1-propanol by metabolically engineered amino acid overproducing Escherichia coli
초록 In this study, we suggest a novel 1-propanol biosynthetic pathway by further engineering of L-threonine overproducing Escherichia coli strain that we have previously developed. In this study, the L-threonine overproducing E. coli TH20 strain which we developed in a past study was selected as basic strain. E. coli TH20 was further engineered for producing 1-propanol. In silico flux response analysis for the carbon source optimization followed by deletion of competing pathway successfully generated an E. coli strain producing 1-propanol. Additional metabolic engineering of the resulting strain further improved the production of 1-propanol.
