Preparation and Characterization of Titania-Silica sol by Sol-Gel Method |

TiO2 thin-film manufacturing process to be used as the coatings has a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) and Sol-Gel Method. In this study, a mixture of silica and Titania sol solutions with features such as anti-bacterial and anti-fouling resistant have been synthesized by Sol-Gel method. The effect of Si/Ti ratio, curing temperature, aging time and pH were investigated. A crystal structure and size of the film was analysis by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and morphology was observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). In addition to physicochemical properties of the films that thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), pendulum hardness tester and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) analysis was performed. |
