제목 Synthesis and antibacterial activity of sulfanilamide-5-methyl-2-thiophenecarboxylaldehyde Schiff base complexes of intercalated layered double hydroxide
초록 The new Schiff base ligand was derived from drug molecule and organic molecule; further its metal ion complexes have been synthesized. The complexes were intercalated with the layered inorganic material in methanol. Ligand and complexes were characterized by Elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H-NMR, VU-Visible, SEM and TEM analysis. The amount of complex loading in the intercalated materials has been found out by thermogravimetric analysis. The antimicrobial activities of the pure ligand, metal complexes and complex intercalated the inorganic material with the layered structure were evaluated and were found to show highly promising activity.
