제목 Surface micropatterning on nanofiber using femtosecond laser ablation technique for developing the biomimic structure and function of native endothelium.
초록 Endothelium, inner layer of blood vessel, interacts directly with blood components. In particular, native endothelium builds elongated structure which induces special interaction properties with blood components such as monocyte adhesion concerned with immune reaction. In this study, we developed elongated monolayer of endothelial cells similar to native tissue by using micropatterned nanofiber scaffolds. The micropatterned nanofibers were fabricated by using femtosecond laser ablation technique. The fiber guides the endothelial cell migration for alignment, and thus patterned nanofiber regulated not only the elongation of endothelial layer, but also the expression of specific vessel function like monocyte adhesion. Collectively, micropatterning skills using laser ablation can be helpful to further study of artificial endothelium formation and vascular graft.
