Hyperbranched polymers have received considerable attention because of their unique properties and three-dimensional shape compared to the linear analogues. Polyamidoamines (PAMAMs) which possess functional nitrogen and amide groups can serve as high capacity nanoscale containers for heavy metal ions such as Cu(II), Ni(II) and so on. In this study, various hyperbranched polyamidoamine (HPAMAM) particles with functional nitrogen and amide groups were prepared from A2 and B4 type monomers by polycondensation without additional initiators or cross-linker agents. HPAMAM particles were prepared by different reaction conditions such as monomer ratio, stabilizer concentration, temperature and so on. Detailed synthesis and characterization of the polymers will be presented. |
