Reverse Osmosis membrane technology is one of the most important methods for water treatment. However, fouling degradation is still major obstacles to the development of reverse osmosis membrane technology. In this work, branched Polyethylenimine (b-PEI) with electrically responsive ferrocene-cyclodextrin complex is utilized for preparation of reverse osmosis membranes exhibiting antifouling and high recovery property. The grafted electrically responsive hydrophilic complex endowed antifouling property by hydrophilicity and regeneration property by attaching and detaching the cyclodextrin with electrical treatment. The surface modification were optimized by controlling the amount of the electrically responsive complex, and the surface characteristics and regeneration effect of membrane were confirmed through SEM, XPS, AFM and contact angle. Cationic surfactant was used as the model pollutant to evaluate membrane antifouling and recovery property. |
