Composite reverse osmosis membranes were prepared under various concentrations of m-phenylenediamne (MPD) in water and trimesoly chloride (TMC) in hexane using interfacial polymerization to understand the relationship of membrane performance with the physicochemical properties such as surface properties, film thickness, chemical structure and density. SEM analysis was used to confirm the surface morphologies of the obtained thin film composite reverse osmosis membranes. The content of water and 2,3-BDO has a GC analysis. Water flux and 2,3-BDO rejection of composite reverse osmosis membranes were measured under 15 bar at 25 °C in cross-flow typed equipment. |
