BG-liposome vesicles , which are characteristic of nano-size, ultra-deformability of lipid bilayers, and high encapsulation of bio-actives,are prepared for the design of effective transdermal delivery system. The vesicles are made by hydration of glycol -dissolved lecithin with aqueous solution.Systematic investigations on the formation of hydrated liquid crystalline phase are performed using polarized optical microscopy, X-ray, DSC, and conductivity meter. The physico-chemical properties such as droplet size, encapsulation efficiency,and rigidity, depending on constituent composition, are investigated and influential factors are analyzed. |
