Neuronal cells behaviors on functional coatings including fibrous hydrogel films for biomedical applications |

In recent years, using polymeric materials for surface modification is widely applied for biological studies and biomedical engineering. In this research, we have modified the material surface by using the dispersion of fibrous hydrogels. Hydrogel is a soft polymeric material which is able to mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM) structure due to its properties similar to biological tissues such as good cell viability and soft mechanical features. The neuronal cells were cultured to observe their behaviors on the modified surface. The different concentrations of hydrogel dispersion were used to investigate their effects on cellular morphology and mobility. We also compared this with other polymeric functional coatings. |
