MnOX is used as an active metal for various catalytic redox reactions. In particular, since MnOX exhibits excellent SCR (selective catalytic NOX reduction) activity, many studies have been conducted worldwide. Among them, it is reported that MnO2 as major active site exhibits the moderate NOX activity per site. However, the MnOX/TiO2 based catalyst has a problem of low N2 selectivity and resistance to SO2. To resolve these disadvantages, it was conducted to overcome the aforementioned disadvantages through the introduction of promoters of Ce or Sm. Interestingly, when SO2 was injected, it was confirmed that the N2 selectivity at high temperature was increased, and the cause of the increase in selectivity was analyzed via in situ DRIFT. In summary, Sm and Ce were introduced to overcome the shortcomings of the MnOX/TiO2, and the changed surface properties were confirmed at this time. |
