제목 Strucutre and Conduction Properties of Ionic Liquid-Based Polymers
초록 After imidazolium-based ionic liquid monomers with various functionalities are prepared, their polymers are synthesized for potential applications in electrochemical devices. Both radical polymerizations and polycondensations are used from the proper monomer functionalities. The resulting pendant and main-chain polycations with various counter-anions are analytically investigated to see the structure-property relationship. Consistently the polymers with a bulky and high-polarizable Tf2N anion show higher conductivity. A terminal ethyleneoxy moiety in the pendant imidazolium polymers enhances an ionic conduction. The main-chain imidazolium polyesters also have comparable ion conductivities up to 3.5 x 10-5 S/cm. For imidazolium-PEG copolyesters, PEG block affect the conduction property by its crystallinity at Tm, where a significant conductivity drop occurs.
