We report a unique and simple method to generate silver (Ag) nanowires (NWs) in large area by using a well-controlled imprinting technique. Two-dimensional micropatterns of poly(dimethyl siloxane) (PDMS) were replicated from prism shapes of a light diffusion film of LCD as master patterns. A thin layer of paraffin wax was prepared on desired substrates. Then, PDMS replica was contacted on the surface of paraffin wax to build negative patterns. Ag nanowires diffused in alcohol were introduced into negative paraffin patterns. After the evaporation of alcohol, alignment of Ag NWs was attained in large area. Furthermore, these Ag NWs arrays were utilized to prepare electrodes. |
