Preparation of poly(aniline)/poly(L-lactideco-ε-caprolactone) nanofibers for control of neural cell function |

In this study, we developed polyaniline/poly(L-lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)(PAni/PLCL) blend nanofibers using an electrospinning process. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the PAni/PLCL nanofiber composites with different concentrations of PAni were studied by using SEM and Instron. Our data indicated that with increasing the concentration of PAni elongation decreased from 391.54 to 207.85%. The biocompatibility of PAni/PLCL nanofibers was analyzed by culturing PC12 cells on the nanofibers for 3 days. PAni/PLCL blend nanofibers supported cell adhesion and neurite out-growth. Our results suggest that PAni/PLCL nanofibers can be promising for neural cell transplantation for nerve regeneration. |
