Enhancement of cellular function on RGD peptides immobilized-poly (L-lactide-co-ε-caprolatone) nanofiber using 60Co γ-ray irradiation |
초록 |
Biomimetic materials have been developed to improve cellular responses in tissue engineering scaffolds. The main goal of this study is to evaluate cellular function elicited by the nano-structured biomimetic scaffolds. A RGD containing peptide was immobilized to electrospun PLCL nanofibrous scaffold by 60Co γ-ray irradiation. The surface characteristics of the electrospun nanofibrous scaffolds were investigated by ATR and ESCA. The cellular function on the nanofibrous scaffold was examined using MC3T3-E1 osteoblast cells. Cellular responses on the RGD immobilized PLCL nanofibrous scaffold were significantly increased in cell adhesion and proliferation as well as ALP activity, protein, and gene expression. These results indicate that the biomimetic materials eliciting desirable cellular responses can be fabricated by γ-ray irradiation, which may provide a useful source for designing scaffolds. |
