The bifunctional catalysts based on the Fe-Cu-K/ZSM-5(Si/Al = 25) were evaluated to elucidate the effects of acidic ZSM-5 functionality during Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis (FTS) reaction. The bifunctional catalysts were made by a conventional wet-impregnation method at different Fe/ZSM-5 weight ratios (5-40) with Fe/Cu weight ratio of 10 at the following reaction conditions; T = 300 oC, P = 1.0 MPa and space velocity of 2000 L/kgcat/h. The catalysts were also characterized by using the XRD, H2-TPR, NH3-TPD and pore size distribution. Upto the Fe/ZSM-5 weight ratio of 20, CO conversion and yield to C2-C4 olefin was increased proportionally due to the proper existence of acidic sites, however, its catalytic performance was decreased abruptly at the Fe/ZSM-5 weight ratio of 40 due to the severe pore blocking of ZSM-5. |
