Desalination using solar to steam generation via gradient porous PDMS membrane |
초록 |
Solar to steam generation is a powerful tool for harvest solar energy. Basically, broad range of absorption, water transport pathway, and insulators are needed to enhance efficiency of solar to steam generation. We suggest gradient open porous poly pyrrole (PPy) coated PDMS membrane to make high efficiency solar to steam generation membrane. We fabricate gradient membrane via simple etching method using salt and water to make water pathway in membrane. We control the pore size by different size of sodium chloride which is separate by mesh. And we coated membrane PPy via brief vapor deposition polymerization method to make black membrane. Additionally, we treat the membrane with oxygen plasma to make hydrophilic membrane. This membrane has 72% solar to steam generation efficiency which is high enough to desalinate saline water to pure water. We purified 18 g of water during 6 hours at one sun irradiation. It can be used as a real industrial to purify saline or polished water. |
