Synthesis of poly(ethylene oxide) -b- polystyrene via anionic to radical transformation reation |
초록 |
Poly(ethylene oxide)-based macroinitiator for ATRP(atom transfer radical polymerization) was synthesized in a mixture of benzene, dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO), and tetrahydrofuran(THF) at 35℃, using potassium n-butyllithium and potassium tert-butoxide as an anionic initiating system under high vacuum via anionic polymerization of ethylene oxide. The PEO-based macroinitiator was converted to xanthate type of RAFT agnet in THF at 35℃ using potassium ethyl xanthogenate under nitrogen. PEO -b- PS was synthesized in toluene at 120℃ using PEO-based xanthate type RAFT agent and AIBN via RAFT radical polymerization of styrene. The block copolymers will be used in a variety of application fields such as nanotubes and thin film. In this presentation, we will report all the results for these experiments. |
