Dopamine Derivatized Titanium Dioxide-Carbon Core/Shell Nanoparticles Enabling Visible Light Driven Photocatalysis |
초록 |
Anatase Titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoparticles (NPs) enable the photo-degradation of environmental pollutants in water and air with low material cost. However, photo-degradation of anatase TiO2 NPs can be activated only by ultraviolet (UV) (~5%). Titanium dioxide (TiO2)-carbon core/shell nanoparticles (NPs) enabling visible (~46%) light driven photocatalytic degradation of rhodamine B as a model compound for the environmental pollutants was successfully prepared by the carbonization of dopamine-grafted TiO2 NPs that are simply prepared through ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) between TiO2 NPs and dopamine. Simple method of efficient photocatalyst is expected to lower prices and reduced pollution. |
