제목 Enhancement of surface hardness and barrier properties of SiOxNy and nanoclay composite multilayer on plastic substrates for flexible display
초록 There are several requirements of plastic substrates for flexible displays applications, such as surface hardness and barrier properties, were considered as the most important. Nanoclays enhanced mechanical properties and improved barrier properties due to large of aspect ratio. Therfore, polymer/nanoclay composite layer was formed on plastic substrate in order to enhance the mechanical and barrier properties. Nanoclays were modified by cationic surfactants to increase the layer spacing distance. The modified nanoclays were functionalized with isophorone diisocynate and 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate (IPDI-HEA) to obtain the fully-exfoliated structure in composite layer. Inorganic layer (SiOxNy) on the substrate was deposited by PECVD apparatus to improve the barrier properties. SiOxNy and nanoclay composite multilayer on plastic substrates enhanced the surface hardness and barrier properties for flexible display application.
