Preparation and self-extinguishing properties of epoxy/nanocarbon composites |
초록 |
Epoxy resin has been known to have high tensile strength, high heat distortion temperature and good chemical resistance. Otherwise, a halogenated epoxy resin shows excellent self-extinguishing properties, but it gives out environmentally hazardous gases such as dioxine, HF, and HCl during combustion. In order to enhance the self-extinguishing properties, we prepared various epoxy/carbon composites containing nanocarbons like graphene and CNT. Mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation at break were measured by means of universal testing machine (UTM). Thermal properties were also measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and a thrmogravimetric analyzer (TGA). Self-extinguishing was verified by a combustion tester. |
