Study on the property change of high strength PVA fiber with various spinning conditions. |
초록 |
Poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) fiber is widely used for industrial applications because of its unique characteristics such as high strength, high modulus, eco-friendliness and alkaline resistance. The methods of enhancing the mechanical properties of PVA fibers include using high molecular weight polymer and applying low temperature gel spinning. To get high strength and high modulus PVA fibers, PVA/dimethylsulfoxide(DMSO)/water system was developed by Cha et al. And there are very important factors such as dope concentration, air gap gauge, coagulation temperature and hot drawing and heat treatment conditions in gel spinning process of PVA. In this study, we evaluated the change of mechanical properties of PVA monofilaments according to the dope concentration and heat treatment time. Also we will discuss the change of thermal properties and morphology of filaments with PVA concentration and heat treatment time. |
