Polydimethylsiloxane is well known for its dielectric and elastic properties that result in many applications for pressure-sensitive dielectric film. High pressure-sensitive property is attributed to abundant of the deformable surfaces which can preserve and release the energy reversibly. The deformable surfaces can be prepared effectively from the porous structure. Directional freezing is a simple method for making the porous structure. In this study, a unique porous structure was fabricated from dimethylsiloxane in benzene via directional freezing in twice. During the 1st crystallization, the honeycomb structure which was aligned to direction of temperature gradient was fabricated. In this structure, the other type of porous structure was fabricated by the 2nd crystallization performed using different freezing rate of solution with 1st crystallization. As controlling the freezing rate of solution in each of crystallization, the morphology of the porous structure became diverse. |
