Adhesion Evaluation Method between Drug and Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive for Transdermal Drug Delivery Patch |

Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSAs) used in skin are widely used from transdermal drug delivery band to patch. In the case of PSAs used in transdermal drug delivery patches, adhesion and biocompatibility are important, but the most important is affinity with the drug. This is because it is possible to load more drugs into the adhesive when the affinity with the drug is good. However, there is no evaluation method to evaluate the affinity of drug and adhesive. In this study, we conducted an experiment to establish a method to evaluate the affinity of the drug and the PSAs. The adhesion strength between drug and PSAs was characterized by universal testing machine (UTM). |
