Synthesis and Thermal Properties of POSS-polyurethane Hybrid Nanocomposites |

Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) are a kind of organic-inorganic hybrid materials which nanostructures have become attractive due to high performance. Combined the advantages of both organic polymer and inorganic materials, POSS exhibits excellent properties, such as flexible, thermal stability and mechanical properties. Thus, POSS is often used to improve the thermal stability and mechanical properties of organic polymers such as acrylate and epoxy. In this study, we synthesized POSS-urethane acrylate based organic-inorganic hybrid materials to enhance thermal stability. Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer (NMR) was used to confirm the chemical reaction of hybrid materials, thermal stability characterized by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). |
