제목 Synthesis of Nanosized MgO for XLPE Insulationand Its Surface Modification
초록 A high voltage transmission XLPE(Cross-linked Polyethylene) power cables have been realized withshock-resistancyand electric stability. However, space charge accumulation in XLPE has a serious problem of the cable breakdown. Until now, it has been suspected that space charges might be critically involved in local dielectric breakdown or electrical tree initiation. Toprevent the accumulation, we have synthesized nano MgO and modifiedits surface by Silanes to be highly dispersed in XLPE. Nanosized MgO, whichhas below 100 nmin size and high purity, dispersion and uniformity, was successfully prepared by the various factors, such as the concentration and source of Magnesium precursor, calcination temperature andetc.
