Peptides have biocompatibility and high activity, but their cosmetic applications are often limited by susceptibility to proteolysis which was resulted to in-vivo fragility. Therefore, N-terminal capping using small organic material was commonly used to prevent peptide degradation. Based on these studies, we designed natural compound conjugated peptide, and natural compound was used for capping N-terminal of the peptide. We synthesized libraries of natural compounds-peptides derivatives, and evaluated anti-wrinkle activities. Collagen synthesis assay, collagenase activity inhibition assay and elastase activity inhibition assay were performed using human dermal fibroblast. We found out potential anti-wrinkle agents. In the clinical testing, cream containing AK AW-PEP 2 had a decrease of average depth of wrinkle, a decrease of mean depth biggest wrinkle, a decrease of Max. depth biggest wrinkle and an increase of total form factor wrinkles within 12 weeks. |
