Colorimetric and Ratiometric Cu(II) Ion Sensors Based onthe Selective Quenching of Dye-Doped Multilayered ShellsAdsorbed on Silica Nanoparticles |
초록 |
We demonstrate water-soluble colorimetric and ratiometric Cu(II) ion sensors based on the selective quenching of phosphorescent emission in the shell region doped with Ir(III)-complexes. Silica nanoparticles embedded with green-emitting Ir(III)-complex in the core region were synthesized by the modified Stber method and multilayer shell structures were prepared by the layer-by-layer deposition with positively charged red-emitting Ir(piq)2-PEI complexes and negatively charged CBZ-PAA. This core/shell type Cu(II) ion sensors show the emission color changes proportionally with the concentration of Cu(II) ions, thus these can be applied for naked eye detection and simple quantitative analysis of Cu(II) ions. Additionally, it has high sensitivity and selectivity for Cu(II) ions as well as reversibility or recyclability. The detection dynamic range could be modulated by adjusting the number of bilayers in the multilayered shells. |
