제목 Interconnnected channels through cellulose acetate and polypropylene by utilizing lactic acid for stable separators
초록 In this study, the low-cost and pro-environmetal cellulose acetate (CA) separators were prepared and a method of making one films by combining polypropylene (PP) films with cellulose was proposed. Hydraulic treatment was applied to the united polymers to bond the CA onto PP and create the pores. In addition, the lactic acid was added to CA to induce a plasticizing effect for the formation of abundant pores. FT-IR was used to identify whether PP and CA were chemically interacted. The surface and cross-section of the polymers were observed by SEM.  The generated pore size on the CA was identified to be less than 1μm on average. TGA was used to measure the thermal stability of the combined polymers. The pores were generated above 5 bar and the average water flux was 1.83 L/m2h at 8 bar.
