Superhydrophobic property has attracted great attention in recent years due to large application fields such as water repellent material, self-cleaning surface, controlling cell adhesion, and reducing fluid resistance. Supramolecular assembly of silver-alkanethiolate into layered structures has been well documented in the literature and their detail characters have also been elucidated. We describe herein the synthesis and characterization of silver-perfluorodecanethiolate complex (AgSF) having superhydrophobic properties. The AgSF were synthesized directly by simple mixing then fluorinated micro-/nano-structure materials were successfully formed which can show the superhydrophobic property. |
