GPEs blended with poly (ethylene oxide)-block-poly (propylene oxide) (PEO-PPO) copolymer and ionic liquid (IL) were successfully prepared through easy and simple polymerization via in-situ ultraviolet (UV) curing technology. UV-curable precursor (St-90R4) was synthesized through terminal group reaction of ethylenediamine tetrakis(ethoxylate-block-propoxylate) tetrol (Tetronic 90R4) with 4-vinylbenzyl chloride. The crosslinked GPEs were obtained by UV process of mixture containing St-90R4, styrene, divinyl benzene (DVB), IL, and photo-initiator. The ratio of styrene and DVB was adjusted to obtain optimized mechanical property of GPEs. The electrochemical properties of the supercapacitor using the prepared GPEs were evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and charge-discharge test. |
