제목 Effects of chain terminating agent on mechanical properties of nylon 12-b-PTMG multiblock copolymer
초록 Nylon 12-b-PTMG segmented block copolymer is a thermoplastic elastomer consisting of semicrystalline nylon 12 as hard segment and flexible PTMG  as soft segment. The TPE can be synthesized by the coupling of carboxy terminated nylon 12 oligomer with PTMG by melt polyesterification. In this study,  the carboxy terminated nylon 12 oligomer with a certain molecular weight were synthesized by melt polycondensation of 12-aminododecanoic acid with various chain terminating agents such as adipic acid, azelaic acid, and sebacic acid.  It was revealed that mechanical properties such as hardness, modulus, strength, elastic recoverability and extensibility of the copolymer can be varied by proper choice of the chain terminating agent.
