제목 Studies on Surface Hardness of UV-curable Epoxy Acrylate Coatings with New Method Application
초록 Surface hardness is one of main properties of coatings. Pencil hardness test, pendulum hardness test, and microhardness test, which is new method, used to determine surface hardness of UV-curable epoxy acrylate coating in this study. Coatings consist of oligomer, monomers, and a photoinitiator, with no additives. The oligomer and photoinitiator used in this study were a diacrylate ester of bisphenol A epoxy resin and a dimethylhydroxyacetophenone, respectively. Monomers were HPA, HDDA, and TMPTA. The objectives of this study are to measure a surface hardness of UV-curable epoxy acrylate coating and find relationship of them as a function of TMPTA contents.
