Novel dual emitting (DuEm) core based thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) emitter was designed for a new concept of high quantum efficiency TADF materials development. The DuEm type TADF emitter was synthesized by coupling reaction of two single emitting core type TADF emitters. We successfully synthesized a new DuEm core based TADF emitter ,3,3',5,5'-tetra(carbazol-9-yl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-2,2',6,6'-tetracarbonitrile. The external quantum efficiency of dual TADF emitter device was enhanced by more 15% compared to that of single core TADF moiety emitter device. The DuEm core design of TADF materials was developed as a new approach to enhance the quantum efficiency of the TADF devices. |
