제목 Organic/inorganic hybrid porous scaffolds prepared by overrun process for bone tissue engineering
초록 Recent research has been devoted to bone tissue engineering in which a 3D porous scaffold is loaded with specific living cells or tissue-inducing factors to launch a tissue regeneration or replacement in a natural way. The addition of biodegradable polymers to calcium phosphate ceramics would allow for better manipulation and control over both the macro- and microstructure in shaping composites to fit bone defects. However, the polymer coating on the ceramics created by polymer solutions may hinder the exposure of the ceramics to the scaffold surfaces, which could decrease the chance that osteogenic cells make contact with the bioactive ceramics. Therefore, in this study, we focused on the porous gelatin/hydroxylapatite (HAp) and poly(-caprolactone)/HAp composites scaffolds prepared by overrun process, which is a novel method for preparing a porous matrix by injecting air while mixing the polymer solution at low temperature.
