제목 | Recent progresses of the R&D for PEFCs at NEDO “HiPer-FC Project” |
초록 | Currently Watanabe is promoting a national HiPer-FC Project as the project leader, which was initiated in April, 2008 and is planned to have a seven-year duration. Targets of the national project are: ·To develop MEAs that can operate at temperatures up to 100 ℃ and a relative humidity (RH) of 30%. · The catalyst loading should be decreased to 1/10 of the con-ventionally used amount. · The electrical efficiency should be greater than 64% LHV (lower heating value) at 25% of the rated load. ·Durability of 5000 operating hours and 60000 on-off operations is expected. The research items are: · nalysis of degradation mechanisms of the developed materials with various analytical methods and tools, some of which are newly developed. · R&D of catalysts with high activity and high durability for anodes and cathodes and H2 production and purification. · Development of electrolyte membranes for a wide range temper-atures and low humidity conditions. · Research for high performance, high reliability MEAs for auto-mobile use. In the lecture, he will present the results newly obtained by the above R&D in the last two years. |
