제목 Toughness and Conductive Characteristic of Biodegradable Epoxy Nanocomposites Reinforced with Acidic MWCNT
초록 In this study, the effect of multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) on mechanical and conductive properties of biodegradable epoxy nanocomposites reinforced with MWCNT. Biodegradable epoxy resins were prepared from diglycidylether of bisphenol-A (DGEBA) and epoxidized soybean oil (ESO). MWCNT was modified using a mixture of concentrated nitric (HNO3) and sulphuric acids (H2SO4) in a ratio of 1:3 to improve its interfacial adhesion to the biodegradable epoxy matrix. The toughness characteristic of the nanocomposites were studied through the critical stress intensity factor (KIC) measurement. Electric resistance was tested using a 4-point-probe electric resistivity tester.
