Kojic acid was modified with peptide because its inhibitory activity was not sufficiently potent and unstable. Twenty two kojic acid-tripeptide free acids and amides were synthesized using SPPS strategy on 2-CTC resin and Rink Amide SURE® resin, repectively. We checked the positional effect of amino acid of kojic acid-tripeptides, on their tyosinase inhibitory ability and tested stabilities as functions of time, temperature, and pH value. As a result, kojic acid-FWY-NH2 proved to be the best compound. To reduce molecular weight of kojic acid derivatives, we also prepared twenty kojic acid-amino acids and twenty kojic acid-amino acid amides and investigated their inhibitory effect on tyrosinase. |
