Chitosan is a widely used natural biopolymer as having biocompatible properties. To make hydrogel nanofiber, sol-gel consisting chitosan, PEGDA and Irgacure was used. Following the UV cross-linking step, nanofibers are crosslinked. 100-150 nm diameter of nanofiber was observed using the scanning electron micrographs. Silver nitrate solution dispersed in water was dropped onto the hydrogel nanofiber. Through the various reduction steps, silver crystalline was examined by X-ray diffraction. Using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, silver component was detected on the surface homogeneously. With slight calcination, find morphology of silver nanoparticle attached to the nanofiber. These silver nanoparticle contained hydrogel nanofibers can be applicable to conductive materials and anti-fouling products. |
