In the past years, many efforts have been focused on the design and construction of conjugated polymers (CPs) for fluorescent sensors, because of their enhanced sensitivity through signal amplification. However, most of them were carried out in organic solvents, which badly limited the application of CPs. As an alternative, water-soluble conjugated polymers (WSCPs) with charged groups have attracted much attention for chemical and biosensing activity in aqueous solution. Therefore, we herein synthesized a triphenylamine-based WSCP, because triphenylamine was used for fluorescent materials due to large signal amplification by functional groups. Fluorescence behaviors were quite different according to the presence of different functional groups, such as aldehyde and ethyl cyanoacetate. |
