Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will perform basic and applied research in the field of nanomanufacturing and nanotechnology at the NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for High-rate Nanomanufacturing.
He/she will initiate and conduct experimental studies with a theoretical understanding in the area of field assisted assembly of nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes and other nano-building blocks. Train and supervise graduate student experimentation work. Assist the investigations in the interpretation and publication of results, Assist in writing proposals. Applications will include materials, energy, electronics, and bio/medical.
Qualifications: Required qualifications include a Ph. D. in engineering, material science, chemistry or physics; an ability to work independently. The successful candidate should have theoretical and experimental expertise in areas such as: device physics, fluid dynamics, electrochemistry, carbon nanotube and nanopartical directed assembly, and colloid chemistry.
