■ Polyolefin Catalysts Tech Service Manager (Asia/Pacific Region)

1. POSITION
Technical Service Manager, Polyolefin Catalysts – Asia/Pacific
Region, reporting to Global Dir., located in the U.S.
2. PRIMARY DUTY
- Act as a technical spokesperson to present CLIENT Polyolefin
Catalyst Technology to the industry. Support Polyolefin
Catalyst Marketing and Sales efforts with customer visits,
participation in professional societies and assistance with new
product development.
- Primary focus will be Asia/Pacific region.
- Provide technical support to the Sales team by participating
in planning lab and pilot scale work. Present results of
studies and Polyoefine Catalyst technology to customers in a
context relevant to their technical and commercial needs.
- Work with cross-functional teams on specific projects to
support existing products and develop new products, employing
Design for Six Sigma techniques.
- Extensive travel, both within and between regions as dictated
by business needs.

5. QUALIFICATION
- Minimum 8 years combination graduate training and work
experience in the Polyolefin industry,
- with specific experience using catalysts in PP (polymerization
production management process).
- Demonstrated ability to deal with customers and presentation
skills are required.
- Good command of English – strong speaking and writing skills
- Experience with commercial scale PE or PP units is desirable.
- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, or related field.
6. STRENGTHS AND SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to function
across cultures and at different levels within organizations –
plant operators through management.
- Ability to articulate customer needs to Polyolefin catalysts
global business teams.
- Computer skills for high level use in presentations,
spreadsheets, databases, word processing etc. and maintaining
global communications.
- Technical background (Chemical Engineering, polymer
technology, chemistry, etc.) or appropriate experience in
technically oriented B2B organizations.
