The effect of special classes of collision kernels on the asymptotic behavior of aerosol size distributions undergoing coagulation
In this paper the effect of the collision kernel on the rate of coalescence is examined for special classes of kernels. The procedure exploits the reduction in the number of size classes obtained by using a sequence of interlaced Fibonacci series. Simulations are used to examine specifically the effect of finer size bins on the size distribution function for different kernels and the asymptotic behavior for moments with a special class of kernels (equations that are homogeneous with order in not equal 0).
