Two-segment selective separator
This paper presents the process description of a multistage separator, the construction of which has been modified in order to increase selectivity of separation. The apparatus consists of two segments having different solid material supply modes. Lower segment supply is based on the principle that solid material is charged into its first stage while the upper segment operates in pneumatic conveying mode. This solution results in almost ideal separation efficiency characteristic.
