Influence of a mixing device on a convective heat-transfer in a static mixer
In this paper experimental data on the heat transfer performance in a pipe equipped with a perforated multiple plate devices are reported. A continuous liquid flow is maintained through the pipe and temperature profiles measured. A model is proposed describing axial temperature profiles within the bulk of mixed liquid and a Nusselt heat transfer correlatior derived for the system operating under a range of mass stream flowing through the pipe.
