Experimental investigation of adhesion mechanisms in particulate systems
Experimental results on the influence of contact separation rate oa adhesion forces resulting from liquid bridges formed by both capillary condensation and deliberate introduction of liquid between contacting surfaces have been presented. A model describing the influence of separation rate on overall adhesion force including capillary and viscous contributions resulting from liquid bridge elongation has been proposed.
